The People Landscape

How We Live and Work Matters.

Wellbeing for the Way We Work and Live

We help organisations build the conditions for people to thrive through workplace wellbeing, nervous system awareness, restorative experiences, nature based programmes and tailored interventions.

Based in Southland, New Zealand, working with organisations across New Zealand.

The idea behind the brand

People do not work in isolation. They work inside conditions: the pace, the pressure, the space, the relationships and the rhythm of the day.

Wellbeing is not simply an individual responsibility. A breathing technique or a resilience workshop can help, yet the conditions people work within matter too. Our work sits with the human being inside the workplace and what shapes their experience.

We are a wellbeing and human development company, not primarily a leadership or organisational culture consultancy. We build understanding, create room to recover, and support people to develop capacity that lasts beyond the session.

Modern work asks a lot of people

Many people are carrying more than their roles describe. Teams under sustained pressure often recognise some of this:

  • Days that run back to back with little room to reset
  • Constant availability and the sense of being always on
  • Ongoing change, restructures and uncertainty
  • Tension held in the body that rarely gets attention
  • Less time outdoors, less time for creativity and genuine rest

Burnout is shaped by individual and organisational conditions together.

We do not promise to cure burnout, and we are not a medical or clinical service. We offer education, guided practices and restorative experiences that help people understand what their nervous system is responding to, recover some capacity, and make better informed choices about how they work. Where someone needs clinical support, we encourage them to seek it from a qualified health professional.

Our approach

Three connected stages, adapted to each group and each setting.

Understand

Make sense of stress, load and the nervous system in plain language. People leave with a clearer picture of what is happening for them, and why.

Restore

Create real pauses through guided practices, time in nature, movement and quiet. Restoration is experienced, not just explained.

Develop

Build practical habits, creative expression and shared language that people can carry back into daily work.

What we do

A range of ways to work together, from a short taster to a sustained programme.

Workplace wellbeing sessions

Practical, engaging sessions on stress, energy, recovery and nervous system awareness for teams.

Burnout and nervous system interventions

Guided sessions for people and teams feeling depleted, with education and regulation practices. Not clinical treatment.

Forest led and nature based programmes

Guided time outdoors that slows the pace and invites attention back to the body and surroundings.

Wellness days and retreats

Half day and full day experiences that give a team space to step away from the usual rhythm.

Multi session guided programmes

Programmes over several weeks that build understanding and practice step by step.

Mini tasters and short experiences

Fifteen to thirty minute experiences that suit conferences, team meetings and wellbeing weeks.

One to one sessions

Personalised support for individuals who want to work at their own pace.

Bespoke workplace interventions

Designed with you around a specific team, season of pressure or organisational need.

The Human Terrain

Our way of looking at the conditions that shape a person's experience at work.

We use The Human Terrain as a lens for conversation and design. It is a practical framework for shaping our programmes, not a clinical model. Choose a layer to explore.

Ground

The environment and rhythm of work: workload, pace, space, time outdoors and the practical conditions that make recovery possible or difficult.

For organisations

Clear scoping, flexible delivery and a human way of working that suits large organisations.

We work with HR and wellbeing teams, councils and government agencies, businesses and corporate organisations, as well as teams under pressure and individuals who want personalised support.

HR and wellbeing teams

Programmes that sit alongside existing wellbeing strategies and give people something experiential.

Councils and government agencies

Practical support for teams working in demanding, public facing and high accountability settings.

Businesses and corporates

How we work together

  1. Conversation. We learn about your people, context and goals.
  2. Shape. We propose a format and scope that fits, with clear expectations.
  3. Deliver. We run the experience or programme with care and flexibility.
  4. Reflect. We talk through what worked and what could come next.
